Pets are an invaluable help to seniors, and if you’re interested in bringing a furry friend into your life, consider the Ten Lives Club cat rescue/adoption group.
Ten Lives offers a Senior Citizen and Senior Cats Program that matches seniors (65 or older) with an older (4 years old or more) cat.
Standard adoption fees are waived, and the program provides a healthy, vet-checked cat. It also provides, if needed, the first month’s supply of free food and litter, a litter pan and help with landlord deposits for pets.
Participants in this program need transportation to the shelter in Hamburg to select a cat, process adoption and pick up food and supplies. For more information, call 646-5577.
