Dear Readers,
Keen observers may notice that this month’s Forever Young cover story on active 100-year-old Western New Yorker Mildred Gordon Haniford by writer and architecture critic Barry A. Muskat ran in Buffalo Spree’s December issue.
The response? According to Muskat, Haniford and her family absolutely loved the piece. With that in mind, and since the article itself is such a spirited, heartfelt profile, we are honored to run it as February’s Forever Young cover story. The wonderful photos are by Spree photographer kc kratt.
I’d like to welcome a new writer to our roster this month, Ed Adamczyk. We profiled him last February as one of Western New York’s people making a difference. As a weekly columnist for the Tonawanda News, Adamczyk is a witty and keen observer of our community, and I think you’ll enjoy his work.
Also, mark April 23 on your calendar. This is the date of our next Forever Young Health and Living Expo, and it is being held in a new location — Michael’s Banquet Facility in Hamburg. Look for more info soon.
