Editor's Note

Dear Readers,

Each month, Forever Young strives for an eclectic mix of stories, and this, our July issue, is no exception.

There is a short piece on the Buffalo Bills upcoming training camp from Ryan Marfurt, another on the area’s best hot dogs, and a profile of an Emmy-winner, actor Stuart Margolin, who will appear this month on the stage in Chautauqua.

You’ll see a Shaw Festival review from Grant Golden, who has extensive experience writing about the local theater scene. Plus, we welcome our usual columnists, as well as our more recent additions: Anthony Chabala on golf and Angelo Coniglio on genealogy.

I must also note something regarding last month’s cover story on theater legend Emanuel “Manny” Fried. After the issue came out, the noted Buffalo playwright told us that by the time it was released, he had turned 95 years old, making our cover tagline — “Buffalo’s Theater Legend is Going Strong at 94” —a little out of date. Congrats Manny, and happy belated birthday!
