Holiday Lights at the Fairgrounds
The holiday season is upon us, and sometimes it’s difficult to find an event that appeals to every member of the family. But the third annual Holiday Lights Festival in Hamburg should fit the bill, all at a cost of $15 for the whole family.
The magical drive through is now two miles long, twice the size as it was last year. There are more than 40 colorful light displays, many animated, and some as high as 40-feet tall and 109-feet long.
After a drive through, attendees can park the car and head to North Pole Park, featuring beautifully decorated quaint chalets and the frozen North Pole in the center of the village. Unique gifts and hot chocolate are available, and Santa’s even make an appearance.
There are three buildings to roam, featuring the world’s largest, elf, Kandy Kane, performing magic shows nightly; rides for the kids, including the North Pole Express Train and the Holiday Carousel; and Frosty’s 3-D Adventure, which comes alive with 3-D glasses.
And kids can get their picture taken with Santa Claus at the Grange Building.
Also in the building, you’ll find vendors to shop at, wines to taste and more activities for the kids, such as “paint and take” ornaments and “decorate and take” cookies.
