Little Bits of Christmas
By Annemarie Jason

Some people make baskets full of traditional Christmas cookies to share with family and friends. Some watch the sprinkles fly faster than a speeding sleigh as they help children decorate cut-out cookies. Others shun the messy business of baking altogether, knowing that they’ll find an array of sweet delights at every holiday gathering. Cookies come in all shapes and sizes at Christmastime, from tiny rum balls and butter cookies to elaborate gingerbread constructions too beautiful to eat. Recipes for making your Yuletide yummy are not hard to find, including ethnic specialties treasured for many generations. Here are two recipes that you may not have tried.
