Curtain Up! Takes Center Stage

seniors
Curtain Up! heralds the start of Buffalo’s theater season.
September in Buffalo means Curtain Up! time, and this year’s gala event will take place on September 14. Sponsored by the Theatre District Association of Western New York and M&T Bank, Curtain Up! was first presented on September 21, 1982 as an outdoor opening of the city’s theater district. Over 26 years, it has evolved into an all-night affair with theatrical productions at over 11 theatres, a dinner on stage at Shea’s Performing Arts Center and a free community celebration featuring live entertainment on Main Street.
