On July 15 winning stories will be selected by Forever Young, for tickets to the Friday, July 21 performance by international star Julio Iglesias. The setting will be the magical Avalon Ballroom at Fallsview Casino Resort and each of three winners will receive one pair of tickets to the show. To enter please send a short paragraph of 250 words or less describing your favorite fun time at Fallsview Casino Resort. Three winners will receive a pair of tickets and their stories about Fallsview will be published in the August 2006 issue of Forever Young. Julio Iglesias’ music career began in the 1970s in Latin America. There, a massive fan base developed and, by the 1980’s, his popularity made him a global singing sensation. Iglesias won the hearts of American fans for the first time with “To All The Girls I’ve Loved Before,” a duet with Willie Nelson. This was followed by two decades of romantic ballads and a career that has been filled with numerous record-setting achievements. Spain’s most famous singer has earned an astounding 2,650 gold and platinum records, selling more than 250 million records, the most by any solo artist, according to The Guinness Book Of World Records. Iglesias has performed more than 4,600 shows on five continents. As for his continued success over four decades, Iglesias says, “To communicate with myself, I have to rediscover myself,” Julio says. “The best singer is the one who keeps pushing on, touching different generations.” Fallsview’s Avalon Ballroom hosts numerous legendary entertainers all year.
