Huntington’s Spanish Lessons
Richard Huntington is known by many for his art criticism in the Buffalo News, but this summer, his own work is in the spotlight. Spanish Lessons: Works on Paper — opening June 13 and running through July 27 — features what Huntington calls “a group of works on paper inspired by a variety of Mexican visual sources that included everything from folk painting and signage to goofy cartoon imagery found in a 1970s-era Spanish language primer to the satirical graphic work of the great Mexican artist, Jose Guadalupe Posada.”
