Bingo, Stargazing, and Swing this Summer

It’s going to be a busy summer in the bingo halls of Western New York and beyond. Of course, there are plenty of other things to do as well, and Forever Young will keep you abreast of all that’s happening all summer-long. Here are a few things to keep an eye out for:

All summer long: Keep checking the pages of Bingo Buzz! for special summer bingo events and promotions at both larger-scale gaming destinations — such as the Irving Gaming Center and the Turning Stone Resort and Casino — and your neighborhood bingo hot-spots.

June 7 — Star Light, Drinks and Bites at the Buffalo Museum of Science: Starting at 7 p.m. the celestial-themed party will allow guest access to the whole museum, including the rooftop observatory (weather permitting), with telescopes provided by Buffalo Astronomical Association. There will be wine tasting from local vineyards, beer and hor d’oeuvres. Tickets are $30 advance or $35 at the door. Visit www.sciencebuff.org for more information.

June 14–15 — Dad’s Weekend Bingo at Irving Game Center (11099 Rte. 5 in Irving): Saturday features matinee and evening sessions.

June 16 — Father’s Day Construction Tour at the Frank Lloyd Wright Darwin D. Martin House Complex: Take a tour of one of Buffalo’s most famous historical sites. The construction related tour focuses on the details of the restoration project and goes to the “physical plant” to view the environmentally-friendly, geo-thermal HVAC system. The tour includes a gift from the Wisteria Shop. Tickets are $40. Visit www.darwinmartinhouse.org or call 856-3858 for more information.

June 19 — Customer Appreciation Day Bingo at Irving Game Center: To celebrate, play five free games for $500; the day will also feature door prizes and a hot dog deal.

June 21 — Level 3 Bingo at Turning Stone Resort and Casino (Exit 33 off the New York State Thruway in Verona): A matinee session featuring a $1,000 prize on regular games and $3,000 on the jackpot.
