Montgomery Park in Amherst recently acted as a drop off point for Operation Legacy, with items donated by the public and the residents. Girl Scout and Brownie Troop numbers 115 and 757 wrote letters to the service personnel which were included in the boxes and Niagara Falls Air Force Base offered to deliver the packages to troops in Iraq.

Contest Winner JOSEPH CALAMAN
After winning two round trip tickets to anywhere in the continental United States through the Forever Young Health and Living Expo, it didn’t take long for Montgomery Park resident Joseph Calaman to decide where he wanted to head for a summer trip. “Detroit. I’ll probably go in the fall to visit my nephew. I haven’t seen him in nine months,” he says. Calaman became a part of the contest after he filled out an ad in Forever Young. “I was totally surprised. I never expected it,” he says. Calaman was a chemical engineer for 43 years and traveled to over 23 countries.
