The June 2007 issue of Forever Young marks some important changes. Gail Nicholson has moved on after five fantastic years. Gail’s hard work and dedication cannot be over-emphasized, and in her time as editor, she helped Forever Young receive many editorial awards. Her leadership, humor, and personality will be greatly missed.
Buffalo Spree editor-in-chief Elizabeth Licata is taking over as editor, and I will now be Forever Young’s managing editor. I had the good fortune of working just a few feet away from Gail for the last year and a half, and in that time saw all that goes into making Forever Young great. There is a strong foundation here, and we’ll also look for new ways to make it even better.
I’d like to especially thank Elizabeth and publisher Larry Levite for their help and confidence in me, as well as designer Josh Flanigan for his work in bringing the June issue to a close. I would also like to thank our writers and staff for their support. Forever Young will continue to focus on the joys of life over 50 in Western New York, and all of us at Buffalo Spree Publishing are thrilled to start this new chapter. Thank you for joining us!
