Wellness Institute Presents P.A.D. Seminar
The Wellness Institute is collaborating with the pharmaceutical company Bristol Meyers Squibb and the National Council on Aging to help promote awareness of Peripheral Artery Disease or P.A.D. The public is invited to attend an educational seminar at the Schiller Park Senior Center on March 20 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Dr. John Corbelli of Buffalo Cardiology and Pulmonary Associates will discuss this serious leg condition that can limit mobility or cause other debilitating conditions, and can lead to a heart attack or stroke.
While some people think that aches and pains are a common part of aging, it’s important to know that sometimes they may mean you have a serious medical condition, and may require a visit to the doctor for evaluation. The seminar will help to direct people to the level of care that they need and will help to debunk the many myths that surround this painful condition. Please call for more information or visit www.ncoa.org and type in P.A.D. into the search box.
