The late Michael Tata, a native Buffalonian and Las Vegas business executive, was a hometown hero. His friends and family will honor him in May at The Michael Tata Invitational Golf Tournament in Las Vegas, Nevada.
A successful professional ever since landing in Las Vegas in 1993, Michael made his family proud. First hired at the MGM Grand and finally directing Green Valley Ranch’s operations, Michael became central to Discovery Channel’s American Casino television series prior to his death. He rose to stellar heights, but Michael’s sudden death at age 33 shocked everyone. In his memory, family and friends will gather with a little help from the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
This year all are invited to the Tuscany Golf Club in Las Vegas, to honor their friend and contribute to the cause. The Make-A-Wish Foundation was dear to Michael’s heart it enriches the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions by making their dreams come true. A few years ago, the foundation granted the wish of Michael’s beloved nephew Salvatore, a cancer survivor, to visit Disneyworld. The annual fundraiser will benefit both the Buffalo and Las Vegas chapters of the foundation. This is a great cause and the right fit for a man who loved children.
