Health on View at the Buffalo Auto Show
Wednesday, February 7 through Sunday, February 11
This year, the Buffalo Auto Show and the Niagara Frontier Auto Dealers Association will feature Wellness Lane, coordinated by Buffalo’s Wellness Institute.
Located on the first floor of the Convention Center, Wellness Lane will showcase health enhancing materials and community information for older adults. Included will be WNED’s “b-Healthy For Life” community wellness campaign, the WNY Osteoporosis Center, the Bicycle History Center, Pfizer and Forever Young newspaper. Phil Haberstro, Executive Director of The Wellness Institute noted, ”Wellness Lane is in its sixth year of participation at the Buffalo Auto Show, and shares common ground with the auto industry with a focus on preventive maintenance. "Wellness Lane was founded by Senator May Lou Rath and Paul Stansiak of the Niagara Auto Dealers Association and is a strong example of a community collaboration between businesses, government and non-profits essential in creating a healthier WNY." Jenna Brinkworth, Coordinator, of the Wellness Institute’s Passport to Wellness program added that discount tickets for the 2007 Buffalo Auto Show will be available at the following Buffalo Senior Centers: Schiller Park, Autumnwood, Lincoln and Richmond/Summer.
Another wellness program that gets you out of the house is The Passport to Wellness Mall Walking Program.
