 February 2006 Back to Table of Contents Back to Archives Main Page Section: Home & Garden Plantasia...The World Tour Flower & Landscape Show THE WORLD IS ILLUSTRATED IN A GARDEN The WNYS Nursery & Landscape Association 2006 “Plantasia” Garden & Landscape Show will be held from Thursday, March 23 through Sunday, March 26 at the Agri-Center on The Fairgrounds in Hamburg, New York. The theme for 2006 is “Plantasia...The World Tour.” Exhibitors will create gardens and displays centered on an international theme. Spotlighted events assure enjoyment for both visitors and native Western New Yorkers whether or not they are gardening enthusiasts. There are also several fun activities for the whole family! • Theme gardens will be fully landscaped, covering 15,000 square feet with blooming trees, shrubs, flowers, water gardens, patios and more in a breathtaking spring display. • Free education seminars all day, every day, given by the Cornell Cooperative Extension and Certified Nursery Professionals using slides and demonstrations to cover an extensive variety of topics. Visitors, bring your questions! • Children’s Discovery Garden will encompass 2500 square feet — the largest landscape area in the show. Designed and built in conjunction with the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens, the entire space will be moved after the show to the Botanical Gardens where it will remain a part of their permanent exhibit. Activity center, play areas and adventure areas will be included in a lush, landscaped setting. • Garden Market will exhibit and display garden and landscape plants, tools and accessories for visitors to browse and shop.
